Counselor Education Program, applicants must: To be considered for admission to the PPS Credential/M.A. Information concerning licensure and credentialing requirements are available from program coordinator. The CSU will not refund tuition, fees, or any associated costs, to students who determine subsequent to admission that they cannot meet licensure or credentialing requirements. Students are responsible for determining whether they can meet licensure or credentialing requirements. For example, licensure or credentialing requirements can include evidence of the right to work in the United States (e.g., social security number or tax payer identification number) or successfully passing a criminal background check. Licensure and credentialing requirements are set by agencies that are not controlled by or affiliated with the CSU and requirements can change at any time.
#ONLINE PUPIL PERSONNEL SERVICES CREDENTIAL LICENSE#
The following requirements adhere to the Standards of Quality and Effectiveness for Pupil Personnel Services Credentials in School Counseling that were adopted by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing in January 2001.Īdmission into programs leading to licensure and credentialing does not guarantee that students will obtain a license or credential. Upon completion of the program, students qualify for both a PPS credential and a Master of Arts in Education. The PPS Credential is required for counselors in the K-12 setting. The Master of Arts in Education, Counselor Education and Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential is intended for students who aspire to offer counseling services in K-12 schools and/or higher education.
